- Being present in the moment.
- Even if your experience is difficult painful and unpleasant- “I am feeling sorrow to the point of death.”- Jesus
So what are we trying to accomplish?
- Encourage you to step into your life even when facing sorrow and suffering while focusing on your values
Remember Jesus!
- Fusion-“My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death.”
Avoidance-“My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me.”
Acceptance/Mindfulness-“My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.”
Commitment to His Values-“Rise! Let us go! Here comes my betrayer!”
